OUR 40 YEAR HISTORY

Providing premiere Roasting, Grilling and IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) services including Moisture Balanced™ and Ready-to-Eat options, GC Farms’ frozen division began in 1984 as a co-op of 6 growers (that operated under the name Nature Quality). In 2002, GC Farms (one of the original 6 growers) became full owners, running the company as a separate entity until 2010, when it was integrated into GC Farms.

With a loyal customer base, our company continued to grow steadily and in 2015 we broke ground on a brand new state-of-the-art facility in Hollister, CA. Through its unique design, location and amenities, the new facility (completed on Oct. 1, 2015) is GSFI (Global Food Safety Initiative) benchmarked and assessed to High Risk standards - the most rigorous food safety paradigm for Ready-to-Eat food. Employing cutting-edge advancements in the areas of sanitation, wash systems, line efficiency, equipment design, water safety, product flow and temperature control, we are able to produce high quality, minimally processed vegetable ingredients while meeting and or exceeding both domestic and international standards.

Primarily processing Ready-to-Eat IQF Bell Peppers, the flagship vegetable our business was founded upon, other top productions include Leafy Greens and Roasted or Steam Peeled Chili Peppers. Additionally, a diverse array of other vegetables are offered from bok choy to summer squash to onions, leeks, tomatoes and more to ensure all of our customer’s frozen vegetable ingredient needs are met.
